Do you live with an outdoorsman or a man who enjoys his outdoor living? Well if you do, then they probably have their own room that is their sanctuary away from all the women folk and those guys that would rather get a manicure than skin a deer.
So you have a room in your house with animal heads hanging on the wall or fish mounted for display, and some junky old furniture for him and his buddies to sit on while they watch sports and talk about their next hunting trip. Or could it possibly be worse and they invade your sitting or living room? If you hunter doesn't have a man cave it is easy to transform a den into his personal retreat.
Cave
This can be done very easily especially if hunting and fishing is his game. Check with the local furniture stores and see what they have to offer in rustic furniture. For a while, furniture with the "Texas" Star could be found any where, but now they just call it rustic. Find him some coffee tables and end tables and you can probably even get a gun display cabinet or a gun cabinet for his cave.
If rustic doesn't work, you can get recliners that look like camouflage these days and or dark browns and greens. A nice leather couch that is easy to clean or wipe down and some manly lamps, set just right so that they can watch the latest game on a big screen television. No man cave is complete without one of these items.
Area rugs come with all kinds of wildlife pictures and designs on them these days. If he has hunting dogs, there are rugs with retrievers proudly displayed or if you want wild animals there are rugs with wolves and elk and deer on them. Throw one of those down in front of the sofa, and put his trophies on the walls and you have made an almost perfect man cave for you hunter.
Now if you don't have any rooms available in the house, there is always a workshop that can be updated and added to or maybe you can even close in part of the garage. Either way, your man or hunter will be proud that you took the time to make him his own retreat where he can proudly display his accomplishments.
The last thing needed to make the man cave complete is a mini fridge and a small microwave. This is to hold the beverages of choice for him and his buddies and the microwave to make popcorn for the game.
You man will be pleased and you will have your living room or sitting room back and there won't be any animals staring at you any longer. The only problem left would be to get him out of the man cave for a cleaning at least once a month or so, otherwise you might have critters living in there with them.
