One Good Reason Not to Take ALA or Seed Oils

There's a lot of confusion out there about two chemicals.

The first one is omega-6, and the second is a ALA. Both of these chemicals are present in a lot of vegetable oils and seed oils. These omega nutrients are confusing because they are frequently found alongside fish oil pills, which have a very different effect on cellular nutrition.

AlLA supplements, like flax seed oil, are in pill bottles on the same shelves as omega-3 supplements, even though these two chemicals accomplish completely different things, and have completely different effects on the body.

Knowledge is the best armor that you can have in the fight against the symptoms of heart disease, arthritis and the other symptoms associated with cancerous activity.

ALA is an omega-3 fatty acid. However, it is in competition with EPA and DHA for many of the enzymes which are necessary for both elements to do their chemical work.

This conflict is a little confusing because ALA is used by the body to produce EPA and DHA, but production is energy expensive. It takes a lot of energy to create EPA, DHA and the associated enzymes from within your body. So, your body prefers to ingest EPA and DHA, rather than to produce fatty acids for itself.

Many vegetable and seed oil supplements are using your cells inefficient ways. For example, taking a lot of ALA (the fatty acid in flax seed oil) relies on your cells to produce their own EPA and DHA. This process creates opportunities for cellular damage, and cellular damage results in the development of cells which are not doing their jobs.

A few cells which are not doing their jobs get out of control and become cancerous. That's the kind of activity that we want to avoid by taking only the best fish oil supplement.

Omega-6 is just as confusing as ALA, because there are many supplements which are labeled "3-6-9."

These supplements contain omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9 fatty acids. All you are looking for is omega-3. This is important to remember when you're actually deciding on a supplement that you can trust.

This is the bottom line: Omega-6 is used in all of the vegetable oils, fried foods, nuts and greens that you already eat on a regular basis. Don't pay for more than you need.

Omega-6 is associated with an increase in inflammation which causes arthritis. Basically, omega-6 is something that you really want to avoid. In order to find out more about omega-9, you should probably continue to research. There are lots of concerns about why this omega fatty acid is in supplements at all. Safe fish oil does not contain soy or flax seed oil.
