Information On The Legal Designer Steroid Know As Epistane

Epistane

Other brand names:

Ala

Epistane , Havoc, Hemaguno

What is Epistane?

Epistane is one of the newest designer steroids on the market today, and it is gaining attention very quickly. Epistane is actually a methylated version of the controlled substance Epitiostanol (2±,3±-Epithio-5±-androstan-17²-ol), which was created in the 1960's and used as a treatment for breast cancer. Since the only place Epitiostanol is only availabe at this time is in japan, chemists added a methyl group to the compund and the final product was a substance now known as Epistane. Epistane is a sulfur containing steroid which is known to have strong and long lasting anti-estrogenic activity as well as weak androgenic and mytropic activities.

What you can expect?

Since it is designed to be anti-estrogenic you can expect very dry gains from this compound. Epistane has low androgenic to anabolic activity. This meaning that it is much more anabolic then androgenic. Thus making sides very minimal to non existant from this substance. Also one of the great properties of this substance is that it does a great job in keeping the natural suppression of the gonads away. Since it has anti-estrogenic properties it keeps your LH levels elevated and it is also said both through science and human trial that epistane may have the ability to reduce gyno. This is still a widely debated outcome of epistane but is actually showing more and more positive results as it becomes more popular. Even though users will see dry gains on epistane it does not mean that it would be any insufficient for a bulking cycle. In fact it would be beneficial because it would generate lean gains. Through research it is reported that most users who have taken this substance have gained anywhere from 5-12 lbs in a 3-5 week cycle. Now in my opinion epistane would be better in a cutting cycle to keep the body dry while preserving and potentially add more lean muscle tissue.

Dosing:

Most users run epistane for 1-6 weeks using a dose between 10 and 60 mgs.

You should not run this substance for longer than 6 weeks.

A recommended beginner cycle would be starting at 10 mgs for the first 2 days of the cycle and then running it like this for the rest of the cycle.

Week 1: 10 mgs for the first 2 days then increasing the dose to 20 mgs.

Week 2: 20 mgs

Week 3: 30 mgs

Week 4: 40 mgs- This week should be optional depending on how your body reacts.

While taking epistane you should be aware that it is a methylated compund therefore you should not exceed the proper dosing.

What needs to be taken with Epistane?

Even though epistane has very minimal side effects, you should still use the proper support supplements to make sure your body stays in good health throughout the cycle. Since Epistane is methylated, milk thistle is highly recomended to protect the liver values. It would also be wise to get blood work done after completing a cycle.

Red Yeast Rice- This product is a Fermented Rice product that basicly protects your cardiovascular system from any damage Sostonol that may come from Sostonol.

Celery Seed- Acts as an anti-oxidant which helps reduce blood pressure and also can aid the liver on cycle.

Hawthorne Berry: Also very useful to lower BP and keep it on check. A great on cycle supplement.
Dosage 1000mg ed on cycle.

Milk Thistle (80% standardized Silymarin)- This should be taken all the way through. It should be started as a pre load and be taken all the way through PCT(Post Cycle Therapy).

Also you may want to look further into these products to help with blood pressure and cholesterol regulation / liver and support:

Liver: K-R-ALA, NAC ( N-Acetyl-Cysteine), Lecithin

Cholesterol: Sesathin, Guggul, CoEnzyme Q10*, Flax Seed Oil, Safflower Oil*, Policosanol*, Niacin, Garlic, Pantethine

Blood Pressure: Coenzyme Q10, Garlic ,C-12 Peptide, high-dose vitamin B6 and vitamin C.

Post Cycle Therapy (PCT)

Even though epistane does have anti-estrogenic properties, it does not mean that PCT should be avoided. A proper SERM will make sure that your natural hormone levels are back where they were before the cycle.

Here I have outlined the basic Clomid and Nolvadex doses for a proper cycle of Sostonol.

Basic Post Cycle Therapy:

Note: You only need to use one of these serms.

Clomid:

Day 1: 300mg

Day 2-11: 100mg daily

Day 12-21: 50mg daily

Clomid:

week 1: 150mg

week 2: 100

week 3: 50

week 4: 50

If you do not want to use clomid then:

Tamoxifen:

Week 1 (or 2): 40-50 mg daily.

Week 2 (or 3) through week 4 (or 5): 20-25mg daily.

Tamoxifen:

week 1: 40mg daily

week 2: 40mg daily

week 3: 20mg daily

week 4: 20mg daily

Conclusion:

I would definitely recommend epistane for both amateur and experienced AAS users because of it's greal lean muscle building properties. Even though it is a great substance to use on its own, I think it would be beneficial to add another substance like Prostanozol, or 1,4 AD which is not a methyl and stack the two. The reasoning behind using a non-methyl while stacking is because epistane is already metyhlated and could be dangerous if used with a methylated Prohormone/Designer Steroid like Superdrol or Halodrol.

11 Ways to Skip the PSA Test

The United States Preventative Services Task Force has done it again. They have made the absurd claim that men should not be checking routine PSA levels. This recommendation is on the heels of recommendation against mammography for under 50s. What's up? Doesn't routine PSA testing save lives?

I think I need to start this with a quick story. Last week I had a 52 year old patient who confided in me that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer 2 months ago. They plan on doing the daVinci robotic surgery in the next 6 or 7 months. The outcomes for these are generally good, but impotence is on the list of potential side effects.

Ala

Here's the problem. He was completely unaware that prostate cancer was anything but luck of the draw. He's not alone. Luckily, there are many things he can begin to implement in his lifestyle to change his trajectory. Who knows--maybe if his PSA changes in the next 6 months the surgery can be avoided.

Back to the USPSTF PSA screening recommendations.

Over 5 years ago we already had research strongly suggesting that PSA and DRE testing does not save lives. Obviously this research was brushed under the rug because and actually seems to have fueled an opposite reaction--I hear more of a push for men to get screened for prostate cancer then ever before. I don't remember large POP (prostate on-site project) events or billboards promoting DREs a few years ago.

The problems with prostate PSA screening are much the same as those with mammography.

First, prostate specific antigen (PSA), is not actually specific to cancer. Other factors like heavy exercise, prostatitis, BPH, age, large prostate volume and sexual activity can lead to elevated PSA. Some temporary, some permanent. Because of this, there is a heavy variation in what "normal" is. To confuse this issue, a little over 1/3 of prostate cancers have PSA levels within the "normal" range. This means that setting a value as "elevated" is going to catch a percentage of men who do not have prostate cancer and miss a large number of cases of prostate cancer. This weakens the value of the testing.

Next, prostate cancer, by its nature, has a tendency to be slow growing. Because of this, many die with prostate cancer, not of prostate cancer. Many procedures are done as a result of PSA testing. These include surgery, biopsies, chemotherapy and radiation implants. So what happens when these procedures are done because of an elevated PSA due to non-cancer causes or procedures are done on slow growing cancers that would not have caused significant problems? The society costs are dramatic and result in no true life extension. If sure is easy to make it look like treatment is powerful at saving lives when the life was not at risk in the first place.

Third, and most importantly, PSA testing does not seem to trigger an educational process for the patient to lower their risk of progression. The factors that play a role in prostate cancer prevention are the same that can help with treatment. These include:

1) Increase your intake of non-GMO, unprocessed soy products (tofu, miso, soy milk, edemame)
2) Increase your intake of the omega-3 fatty acid ALA (pumpkin, flax, walnuts)
3) Avoid dairy products
4) If you drink juice, stick with darker juices like pomegranate and cherry
5) Increase your intake of cruciferous veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, radish, bok choy, brussels sprouts)
6) Add Vitamin E in the mixed tocopherol form (NOT just alpha-tocopherol)
7) Increase intake of the red carotenoid lycopene (tomotoes, grapefruit, watermelon)
8) Cut back on your calories
9) Avoid BPA in plastic water bottles and many canned goods
10) Maintain an anti-diabetic lifestyle and maintain an ideal body weight
11) Take a vitamin D supplement

So overall, there are many things we can do to lower our risk of prostate cancer. As always, I am not against cancer screening. I am, however, very strongly against using cancer screening as prevention. With all this knowledge about how to prevent prostate cancer, we should not rely on an uncertain test like the PSA to save our lives. Makes these changes to lower your risk of prostate cancer.

Cars and Trucks Under 1000 Dollars - Tips For Buying at Auction

Auctions can often be a great place to look for a car or truck under 00. Local public auctions are generally advertised in the newspaper or on the radio. Dealer, wholesale and estate auctions are also good local sources. Online auctions can be found on Co Part, craigslist, and eBay.

Co Part requires registration on their site to participate in their auctions. They publish their scheduled Virtual Sales (auctions) and allow you to preview vehicles online prior to bidding.

Ala

Inspect the vehicles on the day on the auction or on the specified inspection day if one is scheduled. Know what you're looking for before you go to the auction. Allow one to two hours to check the car(s) over the inside and out. Check the mileage, lights, radio, upholstery, windows, trunk or any special features. Do your research prior to viewing the vehicle so you know exactly what to look out for and to see if it is going to properly suit your needs. Look for stickers that indicate if there is a clear title or that the vehicle is drivable.

The most important thing to remember when bidding is a predetermined amount you're willing to pay for the vehicle you choose. It's easy to get caught up in the bidding and end up paying more than you wanted.

You should asses the value of your target vehicle before the auction. You can do this with the help of online pricing guides like National Auto Dealer's Association, Kelley Blue Book, and Edmunds. Look up similar vehicles on eBay to see the starting bids and final price. Local dealer websites may be helpful as well. You can get a good idea of what similar vehicles are selling for retail that way.

You should read the conditions of the sale before you buy. If you don't pay for or take possesion of the vehicle after your winning bid there could be penalties.

Good luck on your first or next auction experience!

What's the Peter Jackson Weight Loss Secret? Introducing the Skull Island Diet

What is the Peter Jackson weight loss secret? The image most of us have of the Lord of the Rings movie maker is a portly, bespectacled figure reminiscent of one of his Hobbit characters.

In a fact, film industry insiders and Jackson fans started noticing a new-look Peter Jackson nearly a year ago. But it's only now with all the publicity surrounding his soon-to-be released feature King Kong that the public at large have woken up to the slim, spectacle free version of the man and begun wondering about the Peter Jackson diet.

Cave

And it's not difficult to see why there's so much interest. The Peter Jackson weight loss has been impressive - he's shed some 70 pounds (32 kilograms).

So what's his diet secret?
Was it the South Beach Diet? The Cave Man Diet? The Atkins Diet?

Obesitycures.com did some research and discovered that Jackson did not follow any of the popular fad diets. The real secret to the Peter Jackson weight loss phenomenon has been dubbed the "Skull Island Diet," after the fictional island home of King Kong.

Jackson, bemused by all the attention his new image is receiving, insists a lifestyle change, rather than a diet is responsible for his weight loss.

"I just got tired of being overweight and unfit, so I changed my diet from hamburgers to yoghurt and muesli and it seems to work," Jackson told Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper.
Jackson reportedly followed no specific exercise program either, but has spoken several times of his punishing 21-hour-a-day work schedule on the King Kong set, which no doubt accounted for part of the weight loss.

Jackson said he was cutting during the day and shooting during the night for months on end, surviving on three hours' sleep. "I thought I was some kind of Superman, but it knackered me.''

And what of Jackson new-found spectacle-free status? No, unfortunately losing weight does not improve your eyesight. Jackson underwent laser eye surgery, explaining that he had grown "tired of being outside with rain and dust on the glasses".

How to Clear Negative Energy From Your Home

Do you know that feeling you have when you get towards the end of Winter, and all you want to do is open up the place and air it out? Your home feels stuffy, heavy and stale after being closed up for months and you know that a good airing will lighten everything up. Well when you do that, you are clearing your home of negative energy. This article is all about simple ways to clear out stale and even negative energy, brightening up your home and lifting the mood.

Even in the most positive of homes, negative energy can gather. There are so many ways in which negative energy gathers or is generated in your home. A moody housemate, traumatic history (of a person or the house itself), even by interacting with others, going to a shopping mall or work you can pick garbage up in your energy field and bring it home. Whatever the reasons, negative energy gathers over time, and needs to be cleansed.

Cave

The Effects of Negative Energy

Negative energy is at best like a wet blanket. It brings the mood of the house down. Anyone that suffers from depression, is much more likely to experience the blues in a grungy home. If someone is anxiety prone, it is much harder to stay calm where heavy energy prevails. Accidents, flickers and movement out of the corner of your eye, illness, are often indicators of negative energy. All of this can often be prevented simply by regularly clearing the energy of your home.

Just to be clear, 'Negative Energy' covers a diverse list of 'garbage'. The methods of cleansing here are tools that anyone can use and work well for clearing basic 'stuffy' or 'heavy' energy. If you are seeing dark movements out of the corner of your eye for example, then using these tools will usually clear that. However if you are experiencing more than that - knocking sounds, entity appearance (ghosts, or any presence that makes you feel uncomfortable) then unless you feel competent to do so, it is better to get a professional to rid the problem for you.

Methods of Clearing

There are countless ways to clear your home, here are a few easy and effective methods that anyone can use.

Spring Cleaning - Cleaning out your home, opening all of the doors, windows, cupboards and drawers, letting the sunshine and fresh air in and brushing out the cobwebs is a very effective method of clearing. While you have everything open, take your broom and gently brush the walls right throughout, behind the doors, in wardrobes and so on. Heavy energy is palpable and so can often be cleared out by breaking it up with a broom. For a really good clearing, pull stuff out of wardrobes, clear out clutter (gunky energy loves hanging on to stuff we hang on to but no longer need - the two things have similar resonance). Whilst all of this is happening, play lively music, dance and play - all of this is light-generating and is unbearable for negative energy.

Light Work - Cup your hands together to create a closed off cave and imagine your house in the cave. Now imagine angels are flooding the house with light, dissolving away the muck. See the light getting right into the fibres of the wood and other materials the house is made of (carpet, metal, etc) dissolving all the hidden build up of grime and heavy energy. If you still feel the house needs more cleansing, do the same thing, but with just one room at a time in your hands.

Smoke and Noise - Go to your local Mystical supplies shop and pick up a smudge wand of sage. Hold a small ceremony where you set the intention of cleansing negative energy, restoring your home to the Light. Once the sage wand is smouldering, dedicate the smoke to Divine Light (according to your beliefs). Then, move through your home room by room, brushing the sage smoke around the walls, in the nooks and crannies, everywhere. You can also use a drum and bell to break up the negative energy and then use the smoke to brush it away.

Before and after any cleansing work, make sure you clear your own energy using the same technique - for the Spring Clean, have a shower, for the Light Work, imagine yourself in the cave being flooded with light and for the 'Smoke and Noise' - brush the sage smoke through your own energy field.

This subject is wide and diverse and can so easily become a study of lifetimes, however the purpose of this article is to provide a few simple versions of commonly used procedures for most people to use without having to train in depth. Remember, if you feel out of your depth, then commission a professional Energy Surgeon or Shaman (for example) to do the work for you. Many Energy Surgeons can work long distance and don't need to be present in your home to complete the task (no matter how serious the problem may have become). But for simple, regular clearing, most people are perfectly capable of doing the work themselves.

What Does Hell Look Like?

There is little doubt that the negative life-review feels like hell and therefore we could say that the NDE hell is proof of hell. Margot Grey says about the experience that, "The hell-like experience is defined as being one which includes all the elements comprehended in the negative phase (extreme fear or panic, emotional and mental anguish), only more so in that feelings are encountered with a far greater intensity."

But what does hell look like? And what exactly is hell?

Cave

Let me be quick to say that in the near-death research, these negative experiences do not happen to everyone. Also there seems to be less insight on why exactly they happen. Some researchers find no accounts or very few of hell-like experiences, like Moody who explains that his subjects have been mostly normal and nice people. Other researchers like Fenwick and Grey found that 15 percent and 12 percent had hellish experiences. P. M. H. Atwater in her large sample of over 3,000 near-death experiences found that 18 percent had "unpleasant experiences," and hereof only a third had experiences that were "truly hellish." What is interesting here is that Atwater found the 15 percent with adults, while only 3 percent with children.

The largest estimate made on life-reviews alone, was made by George Gallup and William Proctor in 1982, who estimated out of 8 million Americans, 2.5 million had experienced "the impression of reviewing or re-examining" their life. This is almost a third of the total number of near-death experiencers and this number is confirmed by Dr. Jeffrey Long who in his research also found about 35 percent had a life-review.

The term Hell that we use today can be traced back to the name "Hel" in Norse mythology. Here we find Hel as the goddess of the underworld Helheim. The English root is "Helan" and cross-checking this word, we find that it translates into "Celare" in Latin. Celare in Latin then translates back into "conceal" or "hidden" in English.

What we now have found is that hell is a hidden and concealed place. This fits with the Greek underworld Hades, which has the same meaning, "Unseen." And this brings us back to Plato's cave again where we can use the allegory to explain what hell is. Living inside the cave as our body, we live in a dark world of illusion made from the shadows of our ignorance.

In Saved by the Light Dannion Brinkley tells us that "I had felt the pain and anguish of reflection, but from that I had gained the knowledge that I could use to correct my life." This was also my experience, and it is also a general conclusion of the near-death research: "the sense of judgment and guilt does not exist."[xii] Becoming aware of our negative actions happens within a source of unlimited love. Moody found that there is no accusation or threat because people "feel total love and acceptance coming from the light." And, therefore, the review is more a kind of Socratic questioning to make the person "proceed along the path to the truth by himself."

The positive feelings of peace and joy are the most common emotions in the near-death experience, reported by 88 percent of people who have had near-death experiences. And as I mentioned before, Fenwick also finds that even among those who suffered a negative life-review, 15 percent, the near-death experience as a whole had been positive. This is an important finding that fits perfectly with my own experience. The fundamental nature of reality, our absolute nature of mind, has this quality of peace, joy, and love.

Brinkley explains that this can be compared to the non-judgmental compassion that a grandfather has for a grandchild. This is the same as in Buddhism where the mother meets the child-we are the children and the light is our mother. When we return to our mother, we are greeted with love and compassion. Therefore, in the near-death experience, "most of the individuals interviewed did not experience any reward-punishment crisis."

To make this point clearer, I will look into what it means to sin. Father Laurence Freedman opens the door to a deep understanding of what sin is by saying, "The Greek for sin means to miss the target. Sin is what turns consciousness away form truth. Being the consequence of illusion and selfishness, sin includes its own punishment. God does not do the punishing."

This statement fits very well with another near-death experiencer who explains that, "Nobody judges you; you judge yourself...Nobody says 'you've been bad'...You know better than anyone, because it's your thoughts and your motives...And one gets precisely and exactly what one deserves. It's utterly fair."

The Greek term for sin means that as an archer misses his target with his arrow, so our consciousness misses the target of the truth. The target of our consciousness is to be conscious and aware. If we miss this target, we "go wrong" or "fail to do, neglect." Another old Greek meaning of the word "sin" is that "I should lose my sight by Ulysses' hand." Here, sin means to be blind of the truth, and it is due to our blindness that we sin. This blindness leads a person to "fail of one's purpose," which again matches my experience of the negative life-review perfectly.

This makes us see a sinner as someone who is blind because the person's consciousness is turned away from truth, and, thus, the purpose of this person's life has failed. Now, if we look at the biblical term, "The Fall of Man," this in Greek is translated as "failure" or "error of judgment." Man has fallen by failing the purpose of life due to error in judgment. From this perspective leaving the Garden of Eden means that we have left our essence-the knowledge of who we are. Disconnected from our souls, we live in ignorance of our true nature, and this causes us to suffer.

So where then does this punishment come from? Here again Father Freedman explains that, "Being the consequence of illusion and selfishness, sin includes its own punishment. God does not do the punishing." This statement also makes sense if we look into the interpretation of hell. The Hebrew word for hell is "Sheol," and it takes us in this direction. The root of this word is "Shaal," which means "to ask" or "to inquire." In most religions, we find the Lord, God, or some servant inquires. In many accounts of near-death experiences, we also find that a being of light or an angel leads the person through the life-review.

For me, my experience was different. I was alone with myself, and it was me passing judgment on myself. Another near-death experience describes the inquirer in a way that is very similar to my experience, "It was me judging me, not some heavenly Saint Peter." This is also the view of Moody, who concludes that the judgment comes from within. We also find this perspective on the nature of reality in Buddhism, where Soygal Rinpoche says, "Ultimately all judgments take place within our own mind. We are the judge and the judged."

Lost High School Diploma

A high school diploma is the certificate awarded to a student who has successfully completed his/ her high school education. This diploma is the minimum requirement that each individual should possess, while applying for any higher degree or job. A lost high school diploma is therefore a real problem on one's road to a successful career. But there is no need of panic, as a lost high school diploma can be replaced with a duplicate.

There are various steps involved in requesting for the replacement of a lost high school diploma. A copy of the grade transcripts is the first essential thing to be secured before requesting for the lost diploma, since transcripts are the actual proof of graduation. In many instances, the grade transcripts are sufficient proof of the candidate having graduated. Transcripts are available for a lower fee and will be delivered in a shorter time.

Ala

The first step for the acquisition of a duplicate certificate is the submission of a written requisition letter, or properly filled duplicate request application form, to the concerned authority. The letter should include one's full name, date of birth, date of completion of diploma including month and year, and signature. The applicant is to provide the address to which the duplicate diploma certificate should be sent.

A fee is charged for the replacement of a lost high school diploma. After this, the completely filled application and the proof of the fee payment have to be submitted to the concerned department. After verification and approval, the duplicate certificate replacing the lost high school diploma will be issued. Along with the application and letter, the high school authorities will want some tangible proof such as the copy of a driver's license or picture identification that includes one's birth date.

The whole process may take about three to eight weeks, as the certificate has to be ordered and printed individually.

How To Make Gold Coins In Skyrim

Skyrim is by far the easiest of all Elder Scroll games when it comes to earning thousands of gold coins in a short time, and there are quite literally loads of ways to do it.

You will find below just a few examples of the types of ways you can actually earn gold when adventuring inside the fantastic Skyrim role playing game.

Cave

Collecting Wild Plants To Make Potions

There are thousands upon thousands of flowers and plants strewn across the Skyrim landscape, and taking the time to collect all these beautiful forms of nature can yield a nice amount of gold coins. Especially when visiting an alchemists and mixing the various plants or flowers to produce potions, which can be sold for profit to the various alchemists and shopkeepers.

The only flaw with this method is learning the best plants and flowers to mix together to produce potions that make the most gold coins, because at the beginning you will need to experiment mixing plants and flowers to gain knowledge on the effects each combination has. But flowers and plants are free to pick so there are no overheads just pure profit.

Hunting And Harvesting Meat

This is one of my favourite methods of making gold coins, just because chasing after and shooting arrows at animals with a long bow is fun. There are loads and loads of wild animals in Skyrim such as deer, elk, rabbits, foxes, bears, wolves and a whole host of animals which can be hunted for their skins and meat.

This method though time consuming is really one for players who like to slowly accumulate gold coins over time, maybe taking on the role of a huntsman for a while trying to earn lots of gold coins.

Chopping Wood

Yes there are menial jobs in Skyrim and chopping wood is one of them, arming yourself with a woodsman's axe and heading over to a vacant tree stump next to a pile of wood ready for the chopping is a tedious but very profitable way of making some gold coins when desperate.

If you don't mind spending some chopping wood over and over again, you can build up quite a fair bit of gold coin in a short space of time and is an infinite supply of gold coins when times get hard.

Mining For Ore, Smelting And Producing Weapons

There are lots of ore mines strewn across Skyrim, some which are owned by companies and some which are occupied by bandits or other nasty creatures which will need to be cleared out.

You will usually find a pick axe lying around in the mine, and looking around for the various ore deposits (indicated by a rock with a reddish tint) so you can start chipping away at the ore rich rock to gather some valuable ore.

Many types of ore can be found inside all the mines across Skyrim, and include ore such as gold, silver, iron, and several others. These raw materials must then be turned into ingots by visiting a smelting oven and producing the ingots with the particular ore you have.

You can then use the various ingots to aid in producing valuable and sort after weapons, which will making you lots and lots of gold coins as your Smithing attribute rises.

The only true flaw in this method is the amount of ore deposit found in the cave, and the time passing before the ore regenerates because it depletes when you mine the ore.

Final Word On Making Money In Skyrim

There are lots of other ways to earn yourself valuable gold coins, and taking the time to explore the Skyrim landscape will help you find out some of these hidden methods.

A Walk in the Woods - Exploring Stone Cairns and Stone Piles

It is not uncommon when hiking in local conservation lands, town forests, and state parks in northeastern United States to discover old stone cairns and stones piles. It is estimated that there over 100,000 just in New England alone. Who built them, when, and why?

The short answer is that cairns have been built over the past 5,000 years in New England by Native Americans for ceremonial purposes, and stones piles have been built over the past 400 years by farmers clearing fields and building stones walls. How do you tell the difference?

Cave

Stone cairns are compact mounds of stone built by carefully placing one stone at a time. Each cairn was made for a specific purpose like a boundary marker or Native American ritual cairn. In contrast, stone piles are loose piles of stone created as the result of being dumped from a wagon. They generally exhibit stones scattered around their edges. These piles are a byproduct of field clearing or stone wall building activities.

Clearing rocks from a field is a very labor intensive process. Farmers only cleared fields they intended plow or cut for hay. Fields for pasturing livestock were generally not cleared of stone. The rocks being cleared were thrown in a wagon or onto a heavy duty sled and transported to the edge of the field or to a non farmable spot in the middle of the field and unceremoniously dumped. Loose piles of rock with stone scattered around the edges found along the edges of old farm fields are almost always field clearing stone piles.

Occasionally, you find a series of stone piles placed from 10 to 25 feet apart in a straight line. If you follow this line of piles many times you will come to the end of a stone wall. What you have discovered is a stone wall in the process of being built but never finished. Stone piles placed in a line along side a broken down stone wall generally mean the wall was in the process of being repaired.

If you find a single stone cairn about 2 to 3 feet in diameter with a metal pipe in it or marked by surveyors orange paint, then you have found an old property boundary marker.

If you find a few cairns together in an irregular layout you have found Native American cairns. The cairns may be placed on the ground, on top or against a boulder, or even crammed into a split in the boulder. The cairn may only be a few stones placed on top of a boulder, a small pile on the ground, or a huge cairn with thousands of stones. Stop and look around. You will generally find more of them. What you have found is a Native American ceremonial site. A place where Native Americans came to pray, hold ceremonies, and practice their religion. Think of it as an outdoor church or shrine. We know this because early Christian missionaries and travelers mention in their diaries and letters that their Indian guides would stop and solemnly add a stone to these cairns as a religious observance. In addition, in recent years, both the Narragansett and Wampanoag tribes have publicly stated that these cairn sites were built by their ancestors.

The Native Americans still consider these places sacred to their spiritual beliefs. Please be respectful when exploring cairn sites by not digging, removing or adding stones or artifacts. Instead, take photographs and leave everything as you found it. Photographs are great because you can easily share them with friends and family.

Most of New England with the exception of rocky, sandy, and swamp land was farmed at one point or another in the past 400 years. So it is not uncommon to find a Native American cairn site on old farm land. If the cairns were not in their way most farmers left them untouched out of superstition, curiosity, or even respect. In many cases it was simply easier to graze the cows among the cairns then to remove them. A few of these cairn sites on farms were built during the 1700 and 1800's. These farms were owned by Native Americans who quietly continued to practice their tradition beliefs out of sight of their Christian neighbors.

Basic Safety

(1) When exploring old farm sites be sure to locate all the wells first and make sure everyone knows where they are especially any children.

(2) Take appropriate precautions against poison ivy and ticks. Both are commonly found when hiking in the woods.

(3) Do not climb on or enter unstable stone structures.

(4) Do not put your hand into any dark space or enter a cave without first checking it with a flash light. Snakes, porcupines, and other creatures like to use these for their dens. If you hear a high pitched steam whistle like sound then you have come too close to a timber rattlesnake.

Food Sources That Boost Glutathione Naturally

Glutathione, the body's master antioxidant and detoxifier, is one of the 14 "Superfoods" listed in SuperFoods Rx : Fourteen Foods That Will Change Your Life, co-authored by Dr Steven Pratt.

Glutathione levels cannot be increased to a clinically beneficial extent by orally ingesting a single dose of glutathione. (1) This is because glutathione is manufactured inside the cell, from its precursor amino acids, glycine, glutamate and cystine.

Ala

Hence food sources or supplements that increase glutathione must either provide the precursors of glutathione, or enhance its production by some other means.

The manufacture of glutathione in cells is limited by the levels of its sulphur-containing precursor amino acid, cysteine.

Cysteine - as a free amino acid - is potentially toxic and is spontaneously catabolized or destroyed in the gastrointestinal tract and blood plasma. However, when it is present as a cysteine-cysteine dipeptide, called cystine, it is more stable than cysteine.

Consuming foods rich in sulphur-containing amino acids can help boost glutathione levels. Here are some food sources and dietary supplements that help boost glutathione levels naturally.

1. N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC)

It is derived from the amino acid L-Cysteine, and acts as a precursor of glutathione. NAC is quickly metabolized into glutathione once it enters the body. It has been proven in numerous scientific studies and clinical trials, to boost intracellular production of glutathione, and is approved by the FDA for treatment of accetaminophen overdose. Because of glutathione's mucolytic action, NAC (brand name Mucomyst) is commonly used in the treatment of lung diseases like cystic fibrosis, bronchitis and asthma.

2. Milk Thistle, Silymarin

Milk thistle is a powerful antioxidant and supports the liver by preventing the depletion of glutathione. Silymarin is the active compound of milk thistle. It is a natural liver detoxifier and protects the liver from many industrial toxins such as carbon tetrachloride, and more common agents like alcohol.

3. Alpha Lipoic Acid

Made naturally in body cells as a by-product of energy release, ALA increases the levels of intra-cellular glutathione, and is a natural antioxidant with free radical scavenging abilities. It has the ability to regenerate oxidized antioxidants like Vitamin C and E and helps to make them more potent. ALA is also known for its ability to enhance glucose uptake and may help prevent the cellular damage accompanying the complications of diabetes. It also has a protective effect in the brain.

4. Natural Foods That Boost Glutathione Levels

Asparagus is a leading source of glutathione. Foods like broccoli (2), avocado and spinach are also known to boost glutathione levels. Raw eggs, garlic and fresh unprocessed meats contain high levels of sulphur-containing amino acids and help to maintain optimal glutathione levels.

5. Undenatured Whey Protein Isolate

Whey protein contains proteins like alpha-lactalbumin which is is rich in sulphur-containing amino acids. Heating or pasteurization destroys the delicate disulphide bonds that give these proteins their bioactivity. Undenatured whey protein is a non-heated product that preserves bioactive amino acids like cystine. It has been shown in numerous scientific studies and clinical trials to optimize glutathione levels.

6. Curcumin (Turmeric)

Treatment of brain cells called astrocytes, with the Indian curry spice, curcumin (turmeric) has been found to increase expression of the glutathione S-transferase and protect neurons exposed to oxidant stress. (3)

7. Balloon Flower Root

Changkil saponins (CKS) isolated from the roots of the Chinese herbal medicine, Platycodon grandiflorum A. DC (Campanulaceae), commonly called Balloon Flower Root or Jie Geng, have been found to increase intracellular glutathione (GSH) content and significantly reduce oxidative injury to liver cells, minimise cell death and lipid peroxidation. (4)

8. Selenium

Selenium is a co-factor for the enzyme glutathione peroxidase. Selenium supplements have become popular because some studies suggest they may play a role in decreasing the risk of certain cancers, and in how the immune system and the thyroid gland function. However, too much selenium can cause some toxic effects including gastrointestinal upset, brittle nails, hair loss and mild nerve damage.

Signs That a Man Doubts a Relationship - 7 Signs to Signal That He's Not Sure at All

If you feel that your man has doubts about your relationship then he will be giving out some signals. Here are a few things to note to confirm if your man doubts the relationship.

You are always on his radar

Cave

A man who is not sure about the relationship he is in will look for ways to keep himself appeased by keeping his woman on his radar. If you find yourself being hounded by your man with him wanting a minute by minute account of what you are doing then he is not sure of you and his relationship. He behaves in this way because he is unsure and insecure.

He is possessive about his personal space

If you find your man being extremely possessive about his personal space then he is still not sure of your relationship. He is so territorial about his space because he doubts you and the relationship and is keeping himself from getting hurt.

His moods fluctuate often

Your man will also be susceptible to mood swing when he is with you when he doubts a relationship. Since he doubts you and your love for him his moods continue to fluctuate. This doubt leads him to feel confused about the way he feels for you as well and that aggravates the mood swings.

He doesn't want to see your point of view

If you see that your man is not willing to accept or see things from your point of view then he is definitely not sure of the relationship. If a man is sure and wants to make things work he will try to understand the woman he is with.

There is an emotional distance

You will feel that there is an emotional void even if you are in a relationship if your man doubts your relationship. If you get this feeling you need to see if your man is making any effort to get closer emotionally or is trying his best to create a wall. He will be doing the latter when he doubts the relationship.

He is whimsical about answering your calls

Your man will also not be too keen to answer your calls if he is not sure of the relationship. If you see that you speak to his voice mail more than you speak to him then your man is trying to avoid you a little as he is not sure of the way he feels about the relationship.

There are a lot of fights

If there are be a lot of fights, mostly for no reason your man doubts your relationship.

Red Headed Viking Giants Found Buried in Nevada

Red Headed Giant Mummies

When you read these articles you do not have to believe or disbelieve them. Go to the Net and find out for yourself.

Cave

There is so much information and artifacts proving that the Vikings were here in 1000 AD that you wonder why it is being hidden from us. Go find out. All I can do is point you in the right direction.

Legends of the Piute Indians of Northwest Nevada were recorded in 1883 in the "Life Among the Piutes", by Sarah Winnemucca Hopkins. Legends of Red Haired Giants and Runic Mysteries inscribed on rocks.

The Museum of the American Indians, pooh poohed the evidence. Part of the evidence: a skeleton nine feet tall found in a cave near Pyramid Lake. One eight and one half feet in the Humboldt lake bed. One seven feet, seven inches on the Friedman Ranch. One Nine and one half or possible ten feet in a lake near Troy.

They may not be Giants but they are definitely Vikings. Vikings mated alpha males with alpha females to produce the Giant sized warriors. They traveled and explored in small groups of about thirty warriors. They used their narrow dragon ships to travel the rivers inland. Thirty men were enough to portage their ship across land. That is why we only find one skeleton at the time of these exploring Vikings.

By the way the hair of the mummies found in the Ried collection is a Reddish-Brown color. There is an obvious lack of interest in determining facts about the Red-Haired Giants.

In the Lowic Museum of Anthropology, in Berkly California the giant mummies talked about in this article were sent and have disappeared. Only three mummies all under six feet are on exhibition. What happened to the Red Headed Giants? What is going on?

Daily Dose of Omega3 - What's the Recommended Dose of Omega3 Per Day?

Wondering what the recommended daily dose of omega3 is?  This article discusses how much you should be consuming per day and the easiest ways of getting enough omega-3 fatty acids in your diet.

The average person is recommended to get a 650 mg dose of omega3 per day- DHA and EPA omega-3 that is.

Ala

DHA and EPA are the most important types of omega-3 fatty acids for humans.  They have the most benefits for human health and they are readily available to the body.

It's unfortunate, but most people only consume about one-fifth of this amount per day.  Since the primary source of DHA and EPA omega-3 fatty acids is fish, and most people don't eat fish daily, not many people get enough omega-3 fatty acids.

You can get omega-3 fatty acids from various plant sources like nuts, oil, fresh fruit and veggies, but these sources contain ALA omega-3 fatty acids.  ALA can be converted to EPA and DHA, but it's conversion process is very inefficient (about 0-9% success rate).

Now, many doctors and scientists are finding a connection between deficiencies in omega3s and many behavior problems.  Most people that have been diagnosed with conditions like depression, anxiety, ADHD, ADD, bipolar disorder, postpartum depression, and even Alzheimer's disease also have low amounts of omega3s in their body.  Clearly, this is because they never got the recommended dose of omega3 on a daily basis.

Omega-3 fatty acid deficiencies have also been linked to the rise in inflammation health conditions.  Inflammation is strongly influenced by the balance of omega3s and omega6s in the body, and the average person consumes about 17-24 times more omega6s than omega3s.

Clearly, most of us need to add to our daily routine a simple and easy way to consume the recommended dose of omega3 fatty acids daily.

Thankfully, the solution is simple: start taking a quality omega-3 fish oil supplement.  For less than a month, you can improve your health, keep your brain function at optimal levels, help prevent heart conditions, and fight inflammation on a daily basis.

It's recommended that you properly educate yourself first though about what to look for in a quality fish oil supplement before you pick a brand of supplements.  There are many poor ones out there, so making sure you get a good one will save you a lot of time, money, and frustration down the road.

Ten Tips for Caring for Your Betta Fish

Betta fish, also called Siamese fighting fish are one of the most popular types of fish found in homes across the world. Their vibrant color and active lifestyle seems to draw in fish fanatics as well as those who have never had fish before. Betta's are relatively easy to care for and their low maintenance is particularly appealing to people who would like to have fish but don't have a lot of time to care for them.

Once you bring your Betta's home you should begin to familiarize yourself with their movements and typical behavior patterns. When you look at your fish after you've had them for awhile you'll know if something is wrong, if they are not feeling well, or if the water in their bowl is not in the best condition simply by being observant.

Cave

1. Make sure the jar or bowl that you keep your Betta in is big enough so that he can swim around and not bump or tear his fins or scales. Also be sure there is plenty of surface area so that he can get enough oxygen.

2. Your Betta will thrive in the cleanest water that you can provide for him. He does not require a filtration system, but you should change out a third of his water every three days so it stays fresh and clean and keeps your finned friend from getting bacterial or fungal infections. Aged water (water that has set out for twenty four hours) is what should be used to replace the old water.

3. Do not put your Betta fish with other Betta's. They are called Siamese fighting fish because they are, in fact, fighting fish. They will tear at one another, often causing the death of at least one fish before they stop. Betta's can be coupled with algae eaters, guppies, or corydorus catfish safely.

4. Use a turkey baster to clean small particles of uneaten food or debris from the bottom of the bowl or jar. Allowing this debris to sit at the bottom of the jar will cause the water to become cloudy, unsanitary, and to smell awful.

5. The PH of your tank should be at exactly 7.0. You can get a PH testing kit at your pet store along with solutions to minimize or increase the PH of your water.

6. When you clean the plants, rocks, or decorations in the bowl you should never use soap on them. It's very hard to completely rinse all soap from these items and the soap residue can harm or even kill your Betta. Instead, use warm water and an abrasive brush to clean his things.

7. Keep your Betta tank, jar, or bowl covered! Your Beta will jump and you don't want him to end up flopping on the tabletop! Keeping the water level at least two inches from the top of the tank should also cut down on this problem.

8. Your Betta is a meat eater and likes live foods, such as brine shrimp the best. Frozen bloodworms are also a good choice for your meat eater. Most Betta fish will happily eat the Betta pellets sold at most pet stores. For a special treat every now and again you should offer some live food! You'll have fun watching him eat it up!

9. Do not decorate your Betta bowl with rocks or marbles that may cause your Betta to get stuck between or under them. Be sure that they are a flat smooth surface that provides no risk to the health of your fish.

10. Remember that your fish is a living, breathing responsibility. You need to feed, clean, and care for your Betta just like you would any other pet. If he's sick take him to the vet, if he's hungry feed him, if his home is dirty, clean it.

That's it! These ten tips for caring for your Betta fish will have you well on your way to keeping a healthy fish. Internet Betta Groups or library books can be a great source of information should you want to learn more about your finned friend!

What is APA Format and Why is it Important?

Many book and scholarly journal editors as well as grant reviewers and others require that manuscripts they consider for publication be prepared in APA (American Psychological Association) format. This is true in many disciplines, by no means limited to psychology or even the broader social sciences. What is APA format? Why is it used in areas outside of psychology? And what do writers need to do in order to get their manuscripts into this format?

APA format is a standard set of conventions for formatting manuscripts. It contains detailed instructions for in-text citation references, references lists, pagination, margins, hierarchy of subheadings, running heads, etc. It has been adapted across a large number of disciplines (notably not including medical texts and journals, which have their own set of standardized conventions) for two reasons. First, there is a recognized need for standardization of these formatting parameters in order to make it easier for readers to be able to understand scholarly texts with the greatest possible ease and efficiency. Second, given this need, APA has developed an extremely thorough and comprehensive manual to accomplish this, and editors in other disciplines don't need to waste time reinventing the wheel by developing alternative parallel formats. In addition, APA is conscientious about periodically updating their format manual, for example to incorporate references to material found on the world wide web, which did not exist when the first version of the manual was published.

Ala

The APA format manual is lengthy and complex but well-indexed and very explicit. It can be purchased online from a variety of sources and is available at most university bookstores. Brief guides may also be purchased and found online through your favorite search engine using keywords 'APA formatting'.

Investing in your future by hiring an editor who is an expert in APA formatting as well as in the correct use of the English language can turn an average thesis into an excellent thesis. It pays to ensure that what many people consider to be one of the most important writings of their lives is of the highest quality possible.

The History of Wicca - Where Did The Craft Originate

The history of Wicca or "The Craft" is complex but traditional Wicca is rooted in the so called "British Mystery Traditions", for example the Picts, who existed before the rise of Celtic consciousness, the Celts, and some Celtic Druidism.

Wicca predates Christianity by about 28 000 years.

Cave

A variety of archaeological discoveries, reveal that the history of Wicca can be traced as far back as the Paleolithic peoples who worshipped a Hunter God and a Fertility Goddess. Cave paintings, that are dated at around 30,000 years old, depict a man with the head of a stag, and a pregnant woman standing in a circle with eleven other people.

Modern American Wicca has its roots in British Wicca, brought to the United States in the late 1950's by English and American initiates of Gardnerian, Alexandrian and Celtic Wicca. These are different forms of Wiccan tradition. All of these cultures form part and parcel of the history of Wicca.

The ancient Greek Mysteries of Eleusis, Italian Mysteries of Rome, Etruria and the general countryside, Mysteries of Egypt and Persia before Islam, and various Babylonian, Assyrian and other mid-eastern Mysteries also find a place in the history of Wicca and its beliefs and traditional practices. Perhaps the best way to describe Wicca is to call it a modern religion, based on ancient witchcraft traditions. But do bear in mind that not all those who practice witchcraft today are Wiccas.

Wicca is a both a belief system and a way of life. Over the years information about how Wiccan ancestors lived and worshipped has been lost due to actions of the medieval church. However, modern Wiccas have tried to reconstruct the history of Wicca in an effort to lay the foundation for their practices.

During ancient times Wicca was called "The Craft of the Wise". This name was derived from the fact that most Wiccas aligned themselves with the forces of nature. They also had knowledge of herbs and medicines, gave council and were important in the village and community as Shamanic healers and leaders. The history of Wicca indicates that Wiccas once had a prized place in society which is quite a contrast to how they are viewed today.

Ancient Wiccas felt that man was not superior to nature, the earth and its creatures. Instead they were only one aspect of the world. The idea of sustainable development to maintain balance and equilibrium was central to the belief systems of the ancient Wicca. The history of Wicca is a far cry from the way that man views the earth today.

In the last several hundred years, witchcraft and witches have been incorrectly labeled as evil and unrighteous. Where do these ideas that form so much a part of the history of Wicca originate? Some Wiccas believe that the medieval church of the 15th through 18th centuries created these myths.

This was done in an effort to covert people to Christianity. The history of Wicca contains many stories of the persecution of witches based on so called "evil" practices.

Another theory about the history of Wicca is that as medical science became more prominent in society those who did these initial studies did not understand female physiology, especially menstruation. This "mystery" seemed to fit in with the churches agenda in labeling healers as evil heathens and placing power and respect in the hands of male physicians.

Many of these myths and superstitions have survived in modern times giving The Craft a bad name. While Wicca is essentially witchcraft, those who practice it usually do not refer to it as such because of these negative connotations. The history of Wicca is important since it is the persecution of those who practiced it that has led to its current ethic of "religious freedom first".

Basic Differences of APA and MLA Formats

Citing your paper in Modern Language Association (MLA) or American Psychological Association (APA) formats depend mostly on the subject you are writing on. Mainly, APA style citations are used to cite writings that have a social science focus: Psychology, Business, the Social Sciences, Economics, Medicine, and Criminal Justice and Law. On the other hand, MLA style citations are used to cite writings that have humanities focus: Literature, Mass Communications, Media Studies, etc.

Basic APA/MLA Differences

Ala

1. A paper written in MLA format has the author's name and page number displayed in the top right corner of each page. In APA format, the first few words, usually the first three, of the title with the page number runs on the top, right corner of each page.

2. In a MLA formatted paper, the author's name, both first and last name, is spelled out on the bibliography page. In APA, only the last name of the author is spelled out while the first name is an initial.

3. The in-text citation is slightly different. In MLA, the last name of the author and the page number from which the reference was taken is displayed. In APA, the last name and the year of publication are displayed (separated by a comma).

4. The title in MLA and APA style formats has differences in its capitalization. In APA, only the first word of the title is capitalized and in italics. In MLA, all the major words of the title are capitalized.

5. In an MLA formatted paper, there is no abstract required. APA formatted papers does require an abstract.

6. The source page that list the bibliography information is called "Works Cited" in MLA and "References" in APA format. The source page should be the last page of the paper. "Works Cited" and "References" must be centered in both formats.

The differences between MLA and APA citation formats are minor. But writing in either format will ensure that papers are properly cited and the author's chances of plagiarizing are reduced. There are several websites available, via the popular search engines, which give detailed requirements for both APA and MLA style formats.

Over the years, many changes have been made to both formats. When searching for format samples, you must be aware of outdated versions. I have found that by looking for the "Last Updated" dates on web pages, you can reduce your chances of following a version that has been outdated for several years.

Small Bulldozers For Sale

Sometimes, a little bit of muscle is all you need. If that's the case, then perhaps a small bulldozer is all you really need. Now, when you say small bulldozer, I'm assuming your not actually looking for a skid steer or a bobcat. Since those are really different machines. Mind you, they can do some of the same stuff, just not on the same scale as a real bulldozer, even if it is a small one. When I say small, I'm thinking of a d2, d3, or d4 Caterpillar sized bulldozer. That's still a pretty good sized machine, great for clearing trees or piles of dirt and wood from the farm.

You'd be surprised at some of the great prices you can get these for during the tough economic times, if you look around a bit. As long as the dozer has been maintained well, you should get quite a few good years out of even a used machine. That said, you may want to hedge your bet by sticking with the more reliable brand names when you buy. Caterpillar is likely the best know, and uses the same technology for it's big industrial strength dozers, as it does for it's smaller ones, so you should be safe with them.

Ala

Other good manufacturers to consider, are Case, New Holland, Komatsu, John Deere, and Liebherr. They all produce good dozers. If you can, ask for a maintenance log, used by the previous owner of the machine. First of all, if they have a maintenance log, that's a very good sign. It suggests that they were doing at least minimum upkeep on their dozer. Secondly, it should give you a pretty good idea of what you'll need to do to keep your little dozer running.

Wedding Traditions and Their Meanings

During most ceremonies the tradition was always to include 'till death do us part and that was how it was. Rumour had it that they both lived happily ever after.

Yes romantic it is. The man and the woman, in most countries, leave their families to be as one, and form a new family. It feels as though it has been like this for always. Throughout the millennia, the concept of family and marriage have been so closely knotted together that it is sometimes is impossible to separate one from the other. So let tradition continue by joining together two wonderful people in your chosen ceremony.

Cave

Marriage is present in every culture, in some form with some differences in the laws, norms, and cultures. Yes all cultures still recognize the union of man and woman living together under one roof. What a wonderful union this is which is one to be continued by both of you. From the different cultures throughout the world and the ages, Marriage has evolved in so many ways. There are diverse ways of celebrating marriage in each culture. Yet in each culture, there has always been one thing that has remained the same - marriage has always been one to be celebrated with the utmost of festivities, with singing, eating, and celebrating. Us Irish still manage to maintain these festivities to a very high standard.

It is the old fashioned traditions that take place at these celebrations that continue to be filled with meaning and origins, which in some cases are both comical and shocking.

Tying the Knot I always thought that this was the joining of two people together in marriage but now the truth has to be told. During ancient tribal times, the bride would usually be wrapped in a sheep with a knot out in front. This was to symbolize virginity. So I leave what 'Untying the knot' was for the groom to your imagination. For both of you I would stick with my way of thinking and that is is simply the joining together of two people in marriage.

Best Man In the cave men days it was the best man's duty to abduct potential brides from other tribes by clubbing the poor damsel over the head and drag her back home - so those comedy sketches we have seen of this type of thing have an element of truth in them. That was not his only duty as it was also his job to ward off the angry relatives of the bride. So in the early days, it was not uncommon to see the best man swinging his axe while the groom got hitched. Now a days it is the best man's job to take the pressure off the groom by ensuring the wedding day goes smoothly. So let's keep it that way.

The Wedding Cake Tradition has it that the groom's family would make up the wedding cake which would be a pound cake that would be "pound up" and crumbled and tossed at the couple as a sign of fertility. Now a days they use either rice or confetti - yes you stick with the confetti. Cakes now tend to be stacked in large layers and it is said the higher the stack the more glamourous the cake. Whereas in the past these stacks represented a symbol of fertility, and couples would stack these cakes to symbolize how many children they wished to have - so what about that. I bet you that is news to you. Another tradition which still continues in Ireland today is taking a piece of the wedding cake home with you, especially for the singles at the wedding festivities, and placing it under your pillow to enable you dream about your future bride or groom. That is a good tradition to continue as we all love a bit of romance and anything that helps us get it is just great.

Today Whereas we may be less barbaric today, we still like the idea of doing it our way and yet so many of us go for the traditional way every time and sure what can be wrong with that after all your wedding day is a very special day and while these traditions are filled with meaning they can go a long way towards making your wedding day even more memorable. Some of these traditions laced into your speech would make for lots of fun and enjoyment - so go on relax and enjoy your day in keeping with tradition.

The Question Is, What is Omega 3 Good For?

Omega 3 is the name given to polyunsaturated fatty acids which are generally considered to be 'good' fats. These fats are of three types: DHA, EPA and ALA. Fish oil is the primary source of these fats. So, the question is: what is omega 3 good for?

There is a lot of information available on this topic. To make it short, let's list down some of the main benefits of these fats and then decide whether it's important to intake thesefatty acids on a regular basis or not.

Ala

1. Promotion of heart health: The first and foremost benefit of consuming such fats on a regular basis is that these fats promote heart health. For those who ask what is omega 3 good for, the answer is simple: it prevents coronary heart disease, lowers triglyceride and bad cholesterol levels in the body and cures other problems related to the heart.

2. Prevention of degenerative diseases: A major benefit of such fats has been seen in the context of preventing degenerative diseases like cancer, particularly colon, breast and prostate cancer, and Alzheimer's disease.

3. Relief in inflammatory conditions and skin problems: This particular fat has been found to provide relief in inflammatory conditions like arthritis, cystitis and prostatitis. It has also been discovered that these fats, particularly EPA reduces inflammation throughout the body and is also good for the cure of acne and other skin problems.

4. Treatment of depression and anxiety: Many psychological illnesses including depression and anxiety are caused due to a deficiency of DHA in the body. These conditions can be cured by consuming fatty acids in large amounts. Other illnesses that come under this category include bipolar disorder, postpartum depression, schizophrenia, and memory loss.

5. Prevention of birth defects and miscarriages: Studies have shown that pregnant women require a lot of good fats to be consumed through diet and nutritional supplements. This is because DHA is required for proper development of the baby's brain and it also ensures proper nerve transmission and oversees many functions of the body. The good fats prevent birth defects, deformities in infants and miscarriages. Pregnant and lactating women are repeatedly advised by their doctors to increase their intake of the essential fatty acids.

These benefits and many others that have not been mentioned here tell us what is omega 3 good for. You should start consuming these type of fats on a regular basis to gain these benefits and to remain fit and healthy.

Web Site Navigation Best Practices - Navigation Design Guidelines

Poor navigation makes us think. Better navigation makes us think less. Great navigation is so obvious we don't have to think at all.

This is such an important concept that Web usability author, Steve Krug, titled his book, Don't Make Me Think. That is the bottom line answer to every question about Web site navigation.

Cave

How much thinking do we not want to do?

If someone who's been living in a cave since the Web took off, can get online and figure out what a site is all about without help, that is just about the right amount of thinking.

That may be a silly example, but worrying about PageRank and not worrying about usability, is a waste of time, effort and finances. Yes, get visitors to the site, but don't let them sit staring at the page, trying to figure out what to do next, or where to go, or how to find what they're looking for. If the back button to the search results is the only thing that's easy to find and use on the page, guess what. That's the button that will be used.

Today, in about ten minutes on the Web, I came across two common examples of poor navigation:

On the site of a major software company a link that goes like this: Main nav link: PRODUCTS > Sub link: CopyDesk > Sub link: undefined (doesn't link to anything) On the site of a national printing company: three links to "business cards" in three different navigation bars all on the same page. Only after waiting for all three to load do I learn that they all go to the same place: an order form. None of the three gives me more information.
The solution.

Solutions to navigation problems are not always easy. Large, complex sites may have no choice but to offer multiple navigation. Sites with lots of pages and lots of links may need additional work to address these challenges. And then there's all the juggling to include search engine optimization. Some compromises may have to be made. Yet, keeping the user in mind, clarifying choices and eliminating confusion whenever possible, not only makes for happier site visitors, it offers the bonus of also helping search engines.

Navigation that makes us think:

Multiple navigation with duplicate or conflicting links. Vague links or links that don't go anywhere. Current page is not indicated. No navigation on page, forcing use of back button to get out. Active links to the current page. Not linking directly to the item named. Navigation that reflects the company's structure rather than division or classification meaningful to content and user goals.
Navigation that doesn't make us think:

All pages have at least basic site navigation. The navigation indicates the current page. Meaning of link text is clear and each is unique. All links go somewhere specific and unique. Categories related to product or service offered, not company organization. Repetitive links, if absolutely necessary, are clearly indicated as repetitive.
If something is hard to use it doesn't get used very much.

Speargun Guide - Using the Right Speargun For Fishing

Fishing enthusiasts should have a speargun handy when catching fish. A speargun is a great companion when fishing, some even give up the conventional fishing hook and lure and go for a speargun instead. Spearguns are great for catching large fishes like tuna and Blackfish. They are also great for close range fishing.

Guide

Cave

Looking for a speargun guide? Then it is best that you know the different kinds of spearguns available. These are:

Multiple band wooden guns - they are made from high quality and exotic wood that have trigger mechanisms of up to 1,000 pounds of weight.

European band guns - also known as pea shooters, European band guns are made for catching small fishes.

Hybrid band guns - a combination of American and European type band guns, these guns have open muzzles, heavy shafts, and extra bands. These are made from carbon fiber that increases performance, making it great for catching fishes of different sizes.

Pneumatic band guns - these are rare types of guns that are hard to find in the market. These are mainly used for open fishing, small cave fishing, and dark blue fishing.

Remember

A speargun guide includes looking for a speargun that has a suitable shaft length according to your level of knowledge and experience in handling spearguns. Also, consider where you will be fishing as a speargun guide. For long range fishing, go for a speargun with a longer shaft. A shorter shaft allows for maneuverability.

Go for a gun that has a shaft diameter of 9/32 inches for faster firing. This shaft diameter also has lesser momentum.

Ultimately, you have to go for a gun according to your level of expertise. Try not to purchase guns just because they perform well if you do not know how to use them. Chances are you will just find it hard to use them and you will not be able to maximize its capacity.

Homemade Baby Shower Centerpieces For Your Next Baby Shower

Whether you are making homemade baby showers centerpiece for the food table or the gift table, you can easily come up and create you own masterpiece. Creativity goes a long way and saves a lot of money! When you begin brainstorming centerpiece ideas, revert back to your overall theme. If the mommy-to-be is having a boy and you have a shower that focuses on all the different sports, then maybe you could have a toy wagon or Tonka truck full of toddler sport equipment. If it is a beautiful baby girl that is expected them you could Care Bears in Diapers as their pastel colors would be perfect.

For the food table, your centerpiece should be your cake, or a diaper cake. A diaper cake is a non-edible creative "cake" made of diapers with baby shower gifts attached to it. You can place it in a cake dish if you would like for an added effect. The diaper cake would look just as great on the gift table and can serve as both a gift and a centerpiece. You could also place miniature pacifiers, bottles, or carriages, (found at your local Dollar Tree), around the food table. Another cute idea for the food table include a basket lined with a clean baby receiving blanket and filled with cookies. For the final touch to the "cookie basket" add a bottle filled with pastel colored m&m's! If your theme involves rubber ducks, why not add a baby bathtub filled with punch to your food table with floating rubber ducks.

A Guide to Los Angeles Public Car Auctions

If you want to live or work in Los Angeles, it is essential that you have a car. Sure, there is public transportation, but unless you are going around downtown, it is just too slow and inconvenient for getting about the huge metropolis. Pretty much everybody in LA owns a car. That makes Los Angeles a great place to find public car auctions.

There are numerous public car auctions in Los Angeles, and it is fairly easy to find out about them. One of the best places to start is with the official police garages or OPGs. These are city garages that have official responsibility over the towing and holding of impounded cars in LA. Several hundred thousand vehicles are impounded by the LAPD every year. Of these, around two-thirds are redeemed by the owners, but the rest of the cars become city property and are divested through public car auctions. The OPGs hold these auctions, known officially as lien sale vehicle auctions, once a week. You may contact your nearest OPG to find out when the public auctions take place. The auctions help the city of Los Angeles to recoup unpaid fees while offering an opportunity to the public to bid on and purchase cars at low prices.

Ala

There are also a number of firms in Los Angeles and its outlying areas that hold public car auctions. A search for "auto auctions" on an online search engine turned up 26 firms around LA that hold regular auctions. A few of these firms specialize in certain types of vehicles. For example, Spectrum Auction Co. in North Hollywood and Palm Springs Exotic Car Auctions specialize in auctions of classic and luxury vehicles. Other firms hold auctions specifically for towed or repossessed cars.

Public car auctions are open to everyone, but it is important that you register beforehand. To register for a public auction, you need to provide proper personal identification. You may also need to pay some nominal registration fee. When you have registered, you will be assigned a bidding number, which must be presented to the auctioneer when you make a bid. Only people with bidding numbers are allowed to participate in the auction.

The cars at public auctions are sold "as is" and therefore a potential bidder must possess a "let the buyer beware" mindset. However, there is usually an inspection period prior to the auction, that make take place a day or two or even a few hours beforehand. You should take advantage of the inspection period to see what is being offered and get an idea of the vehicle's quality.

Men are From Mars Women are From Venus

Relationship Enrichment Seminar

Dr. John Gray author of the best seller "Men are from Mars, women are from Venus"
Dr. Gray mentioned as a preamble to his talk that when his book 'Men are from Mars, Women from Venus' had come out he was questioned whether one can make generalizations in terms of the behaviour of men and women. The only response he gave was whether they resonated with what was written in the book and 100% of the time they replied 'Yes'.

Cave

1. The differences between Men and Women are universal. Women all over the world complain that "He doesn't understand". "He doesn't listen". "Only time he touches me is when he wants sex". And men all over the world complain that "She doesn't want to have enough of sex." (Unless the woman is around 37 years. At this magical age women want more of sex than ever before.)

2. Women like affection from men much more than sex. They want to be hugged. John learnt to hug his wife.

3. Men like to be logical. Women like to share and talk even if there is no point in their sharing and talking. Men need to have an objective. They need to see the point in doing something. They can't share for the sake of sharing.

4. Men tend to do one thing at a time. Women do many things at a time. Men have a tunnel vision. 95% of their attention is focused on just one thing and 5% on checking of the environment. Women are just the opposite. They are continuously taking in everything that there is in the environment whether it is useful or not.

5. John narrated the incident of his wife asking him to get some milk while coming home from work. He forgets. She considerately puts it down to his thinking of work. She asks him again. Again he forgets. She takes it personally. It's not that the milk was forgotten but that she was forgotten. Women behave in this manner.

6. Men have their own caves on which the sign states "Please do not disturb." Men like to retreat into their own world where they feel they are in control. Women also have caves but the sign on their caves is "I need to talk". When a man asks a woman what's wrong and she says "Nothing" it really means "Nothing, unless you care to listen and give me an opportunity to talk."

7. 90% of women go into therapy because they want to be listened to. They want to be asked questions. They want to feel special. Men hate to be questioned. If men want to talk they'll talk. If they don't want to talk they won't. When a man is locked in his cave, the woman thinks that something is wrong with him and goes in and asks questions. This is a wrong move for the woman to make. Men hate to be interrogated.

8. When a woman touches a man she may want to be cuddled. But for a man anywhere he is touched leads to Rome and he thinks therefore that it has to lead to sex.

9. Men want to forget the problems of the day. Women want to remember. A man will say "Forget it, it's no big deal." For a woman she will not rest till the problem is talked about. Her response to the man, who wants to just forget about it and not make a big deal out of it, will be "How can you be so insensitive."

10. Men should never tell a woman how she should feel. In fact if she is unhappy, the man needs to be unhappy with her for a while instead of offering advice.

11. If the man is at a loss for saying anything when the woman is feeling bad then instead of offering advice he could build her up a bit by saying "I know how much you work during the day to make the kids and myself feel happy. It must be very exhausting." Her unconscious response would be "He understands." The woman craves for understanding.

12. Women make noises to get attention. Men make noises to signal "Please leave me alone."

13. To cope with stress, sometimes, women while speaking tend to speak in long sentences and then pause. Men think that the pause is a signal for saying something. Wrong. For the woman the pause is just a semi-colon. Men need to restrain themselves in giving advice.

14. When a woman is upset and a man tries to give a solution 99% of the time her response will be "Yes....but". When she is relaxed then give the solution. After she has been given the opportunity to talk about it.

15. If a man tries to walk in a woman's shoes, she will be more willing to understand his point of view. Men tend to expect women to agree with their point of view because they feel it is obviously the best point of view.

16. Men are efficiency oriented. Must do it the easiest and fastest way. Women on the other hand feel that taking the shortest path between 2 points is boring. Women like variation. This is especially true in the bedroom. Men go by the same formula every time while women want variation. Men like uniforms and the same uniform. Men look good in a tuxedo or a suit and that's it. Every time the same tuxedo or suit. Women like to change their dress; sometimes thrice or even more times in a day.

17. When John's book 'Men are from Mars, Women from Venus' was on the bestseller list for 6 years in a row, John realized how narrowly focused in life he had become. He only gloated about his book being no. 1 on the bestseller list. John was missing the little things of life where his wife and children were concerned. Women are able to see the little things in life and be happy.

18. The more narrow the focus of a man the more stressed he is bound to get. He can't notice anything else other than what he is focusing on at that moment. Women deal with lots of problems at the same time and the way they cope is to talk about them.

19. Men use their brain sequentially viz. one part at a time. Where women are concerned it is usually the whole brain at once.

20. Women lower stress through talking and sharing. The collectiveness and togetherness which they share is part of their feminity. Men lower their stress by being alone. Women's attitude is that if we can't do anything about it then let's talk about it and suffer together. Men's focus is on solving the problem. And if they can't solve the problem then they make the problem disappear by forgetting about it.

21. Men always want to be right.

22. Women, unknowingly sabotage their success. They put themselves down because they want support. Women bond by putting themselves down. For example if one is late for a particular function in the office, the woman will say what an imbecile she is by not catching the right train or missing the connection because of some stupid mistake she made and so on. And other women who are also late will do the same.

23. Or if a woman is having a problem with the computer, she will call the so called expert from the computer department and tell him that she doesn't know anything about computers and that she is very happy that he has come to her rescue and thereby push the guy way up there. But when he suggests a solution which she tends to disagree with, she doesn't know how to tell him because if she does it, it makes him come crashing down and he reacts by saying that she has wasted his time. In this case one needs to resort to face saving devices like 'whatever you have suggested will I am sure help me to figure it out (even if you see no utility in the suggestion).

24. As women more and more enter into the workplace their need to being listened to and understood is not being met. The workplace is efficiency oriented. They are becoming more and more isolated. They have to raise their children alone. Unseen and unheard. And this is causing them to go more and more into depression. The man focusses on work no matter what the problems are that are being experienced at home.

25. Man is efficiency oriented. He needs to feel needed. He needs problems to be solved. If there are no job opportunities or there is no effort called for to do something then the man feels depressed.

26. When women feel nurtured they feel happy. They are happy with the small things of life. Man likes to measure himself against the goal he has set for himself. Men behave like squirrels. They focus on one thing, dash towards it and once they reach there then they turn their focus on another thing and make a dash there and so on and so forth.

27. Men see the news on TV especially after coming home, because the problems they hear about and see make their problems seem that much smaller.

28. John's soul sings when he teaches. Need to find one's path and go along it. The fact that one feels fear is because it is one's path. If it was not one's path then one would not be so worried about whether one made an impact or not.

29. The truth is I deserve to be the way I am. I need not be bothered to be perfect in order to be loved. Once one lives in an atmosphere of perfect trust the more authentic one becomes, and the more authentic one becomes the more irresistible one becomes. The closer we are to who we truly are the more people will love us. There will always be people who do not love us.

30. Forgiveness is the key. If someone hurts then one needn't hurt back. As Gandhi said, An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind.

31. Women give more. Men want to get more.

32. Women want flowers to be purchased by men. And they should be cut- flowers. So that the flowers die and therefore the men have to go out and purchase them again and again. They do not want the romance to go out of the relationship. Men on the other hand feel that if they have done it once there is no necessity to do it again and again. But women want things and messages to be repeated again and again.

33. Women sometimes give hints viz. On Sunday they will mention that they are getting their hair cut on Thursday. This is to be taken as a warning signal. The hair cut must be noticed. If a woman has to ask how she looks after she has had a hair cut then there is no value placed on the man's comment. It has to be noticed without being asked. Women put in much more effort in looking good. Men put in more effort in their work.

34. Man wants to be appreciated. Woman wants to be listened to and noticed. Men stress more on what they do while women stress more on their being.

35. Men think that by being flexible they are Mr. Agreeable and that is appreciated by women. Really speaking women want men to take charge and suggest something which they agree on. Mr. Agreeable is boring. The ideal metaphor is to have a man with a plan and a woman with a smile.

36. Sometimes the woman feels that she does everything according to what the man wants. At this point it is necessary for the woman to say "I'll do it this time your way but next time we'll do what I want."

37. Women are always keeping score in a relationship viz. When a woman does anything for a man she always gives herself a point. Men keep score in business. Men need to keep score in a relationship too. They need to do something for the woman so that they too score points from the woman's point of view.

38. At work the man's perspective is not to unnecessarily interfere. A man feels that if he doesn't ask then he is giving total freedom to the woman. But a woman who is a subordinate wants to be asked about her work because silence is taken to mean 'non-involvement'.

39. Women like the small stuff. Chit-Chat. Occasionally ask some personal questions. The magic words are 'What else?'

40. To free a man a woman needs to say 'You don't need to say or do anything and you don't need to feel bad.'

41. Listening creates healing.

42. Women by nature give. But when they find that they are not getting anything in return they need to give to themselves. Men have no problem in giving to themselves. Men don't give enough to others.

43. Men prefer women managers while they learn the job. After learning the job they prefer a male manager.

44. Men sprint faster. Women win the long distance.

45. In men testosterone lowers stress. In women oxytocin lowers stress. Affection, considerateness, being noticed is what produces the oxytocin in women. Therefore men need to learn new skills to produce oxytocin in women. Foreplay is more important for a woman than a man. A woman needs 20-30 minutes of stimulation. A man needs just 2-3 minutes.

46. Women want sensitive men but the danger is that if men become too sensitive then women don't like it. They want men to be considerate but not to be too sensitive just like them.

47. Don't try to fix or change your partner.

48. When husband and wife are business partners then there needs to be clear rules. There needs to be a clear demarcated time when no business is talked about.

49. Duty is important but being authentic is more important.

50. Women can be compared metaphorically to the moon. When the moon is full, women crave for sex. When it is half-full, a woman can have it not have it, it does not matter, and when it is a new moon she couldn't care less.

51. There are different types of sex viz. Healthy, home cooked sex, Ferrari, junk food sex, and Gourmet sex. Once a month one could have Gourmet sex which means bringing in the romance by going out for a dinner and coming home to an atmosphere which slowly climaxes. Whenever he wants sex, and it is a quickie then give it to him. Provided on other occasions there is good, regular homemade sex. In order to arrive at a meaningful understanding one could have 3 candles signifying the 3 types of sex. Either partner finds it very difficult to know the real mood of the other. Depending on which candle is lit and by whom one can behave accordingly. The candle becomes the sign of the mood.
